Your guide will collect you from your hotel and take you to the historic city centre of La Paz. The tour starts at the central station of the red cable car. In addition to our team of English-speaking guides, a "special" guide will show us around the city in his own way. A "shoeshine boy" will accompany us throughout the morning. After a cable car ride, we set off to visit various markets. Our first stop was the potato market, where we discovered the dehydrated variety of potato, las tuntas and los chuños, a local species with a very special taste and smell. The next stop is the fish market, where most of the produce is trout, straight from Lake Titicaca. Fish arrive every morning between 3.30am and 5am, and the cholitas start preparing their stalls. We then visit the district where all the shops where the cholita paceña buys her uniform are located: fabrics, clothes, hats and jewellery. Cholitas are very coquettish, even going so far as to match their jewellery to the colour of their contact lenses. It's easy to see why it's more profitable for a cholita to pay a bodyguard than to take the risk of having an earring stolen. A vicuña jacket, for example, can fetch up to 15,000 dollars. A short break is needed for a Bolivian culinary experience at the Manq'a restaurant. You'll be amazed by its traditional cuisine with a twist. -The afternoon is devoted to a walking tour of La Paz to soak up the atmosphere of this surprising and endearing city. Discover the traditional colourful markets, the colonial quarter, Plaza Murillo and Calle Jaen, the most beautiful colonial street in La Paz.

The Laguna Colorada then comes into view. You'll need to take a long break to admire this exceptional lagoon. It is also home to numerous colonies of pink flamingos, strutting their stuff before our very eyes. We cross a pass at almost 5000 m altitude before stopping at the Sol de Mañana site (4850 m altitude). The trail then continues to the Polques thermal baths (4,000 m). The more courageous can enjoy a bath with a view of the Laguna Chalviri. On to the border with Chile. On the way, you can catch a glimpse of the famous "Dali Desert", with its supernatural landscapes of light ochre tones dotted with isolated rocks. Salar and Altiplanic Lagoons / In a group English-speaking guide : You will set off in the direction of the towns of Toconao and Socaire. On the way, you will have an impressive view of the Licancabur volcano, and it will also be possible to appreciate the different species of vegetation and native trees such as "tamarugo" and "chañar". You will visit the town of Toconao and its church. Toconao continues the tradition of working with locally quarried liparita stone. Then it's on to the Chaxa lagoon, situated in the heart of the Atacama salar, Chile's largest salt deposit. It covers an area of 3,000 square kilometres. It lies at an altitude of around 2,500 metres. Located in the heart of the Atacama Desert, the driest on the planet, the air is also extremely dry, making it perfectly transparent, so that the view extends to the other side of the salar (a distance of 70 kilometres). Beneath the salar lies a salt lake, hidden by the solid crust of salt. The surrounding area is home to three species of flamingo: the Andean flamingo, the Chilean flamingo and the James's flamingo. After a simple, local lunch in a small restaurant on Socaire, you will continue on to the Miscanti and Miñiques lagoons. Perched at an altitude of 4,200 metres, these lagoons literally dazzle with their emerald turquoise. The palette is splendid: the blue of the sky and the lakes, the tufts of yellow grass in the ochre earth, the red and black rocks, the snow of the volcanoes. The fauna protected by a section of the Los Flamencos National Reserve includes many endemic bird species, as well as vizcachas, vicuñas and guanacos.

Archaeological tour / Group excursion with English-speaking guide : On this excursion, we'll visit some of the most important archaeological sites in San Pedro de Atacama. The town is known as Chile's "archaeological capital", which makes this excursion worthwhile; the beautiful scenery isn't the only attraction here. You'll travel back in time to learn more about the origins of the Atacamenian culture and ethnic group, now known as the Licanantai. The Pukara de Quitor is a pre-Hispanic fortress built by the Atacameñans in the 12th century. It is important for local history and significant in the history of Chile because of the Battle of Quitor (1540). This was one of the first confrontations between the Spaniards and the indigenous peoples. You will also visit the hamlet of Tulor. This is probably one of the most interesting and vulnerable archaeological sites, as it is the oldest settlement in the Atacama Salar basin and constitutes one of the earliest proofs of sedentarisation in the region. Today, we can only see around 3% of the village, as the rest is under the sand. HD Laguna Cejar / In a group with an English-speaking guide: From San Pedro de Atacama, you will travel to the Salar d'Atacama where you will visit the Cejar Lagoon. This lake contains so much salt that you'll feel like you're floating on top of the water when you swim in it. Standing in the centre of the great Salar d'Atacama, you can contemplate this magnificent landscape of turquoise waters against the backdrop of the imposing Andes mountain range and its many volcanoes. You'll also visit the Tebenquinche lagoon and the astonishing "Ojos del Salar" ("Eyes of the Salar"), two perfectly round lagoons filled with fresh water.

Breakfast will be provided in the heart of nature. Arrive at sunrise, when the geysers are at their most spectacular. Located 90 km north of San Pedro de Atacama. With almost 80 active geysers, El Tatio is the largest site in the southern hemisphere. Despite the large number of geysers, they are not very high. The highest eruption reached 6 metres. This site is best visited at dawn, when the temperature difference (it can freeze down to -20°C) allows you to admire the formation of the steam vents. On the way back, you can watch the small village of Machuca and its picturesque church from a vantage point. You will stop at the edge of small lagoons to observe the local birdlife before returning to the village of San Pedro d'Atacama.

City tour of Santiago by car with climb to San Cristobal / Private English-speaking The city of Santiago is located at the bottom of Chile's central valley, which ends in Puerto Montt, 1000 km to the south. The Andes mountain range plunges its roots into the heart of the city through a series of hills, the best known of which are Santa Lucía (850m) and San Cristobal (900m). With the Mapocho River running through it, the city is a hub for overland communications, both North/South (Pan-American Highway) and East/West (routes to the coast, in particular Valparaiso and Viña del Mar, and Argentina: Mendoza is just 400km away). The city was founded by the Spaniard Pedro de Valdivia in 1541, and enjoys a Mediterranean climate at high altitude, ideal for vine-growing. Santiago has left a significant colonial cultural and architectural heritage to the country, and the various waves of subsequent migration, mainly from Europe, have shaped its current heterogeneous and polycentric face. Today, with a population of over 6 million, "Greater Santiago" covers an area 40km square and is divided into 32 autonomous municipalities. It has steadily widened the demographic gap with the rest of the country, and now accounts for 36% of the total population. It also produces almost 40% of the national GDP. A political, economic, administrative and cultural centre, its location close to both the Andes and the Pacific makes it a very dynamic place to live. The tour will include visits to a number of important monuments, including the Palacio de la Moneda, home to the Presidential Palace, the Plaza de Armas (km 0 of Santiago) and Santiago Cathedral. Visit to the central market, where you can taste the fruits, vegetables, fish and seafood that this country has to offer. The tour continues along the Parc Forestal to Santiago's bohemian quarter: the "Bellavista" district. You can climb San Cristobal Hill, considered to be one of the city's lungs. Once at the top, you'll have a panoramic view of Santiago. Discover the capital of Chile, located at the foot of the Andes. Now a modern metropolis, it still has some historic districts that bear witness to its history. We start our visit in the República district, where the Chilean nobility lived until the end of the 20th century. We'll then make our way to the Palacio de la Moneda, where we'll take a short walk through the pedestrian streets at the heart of the city's historic centre to reach the Plaza de Armas. We'll visit the famous Mercado Central, a very traditional and lively place, and an ideal spot for lunch during your tour. For a panoramic view of the city, we'll climb to the top of Cerro San Cristobal, before heading to the modern district of El Bosque, home to Latin America's tallest tower.

Valle Casablanca: Emiliana vineyards and Casas del Bosque ( CON ALMUERZO) / With a group and French guide A tour for wine lovers... two prestigious vineyards combined in one enjoyable experience. By private transfer, you will head for the first vineyard: Emiliana Vineyard, about 1h14 from Santiago. Emiliana is characterised by the production of only organic and biodynamic wines, in such a way as to help preserve the natural balance of life, man and the environment. Producing wines in this way ultimately makes them healthier, more unique and of better quality. We invite you to meet Emiliana, Chile's organic vineyard, recognised by Chilean Wines as Vineyard of the Year 2015. Its vineyards reflect the passion of the vineyard, we invite you to visit the vineyard to enjoy and be inspired by organic farming and live a unique experience. The tour begins with a visit to the gardens, where visitors can enjoy the outdoors with the animals that contribute to the biodiversity supported by our estate. This is followed by a visit to the vineyard, where the soil types, varieties planted and climatic characteristics of the Casablanca valley will be explained. The tour ends inside our underground cellar, where we store the biodynamic preparations responsible for the nutrition and protection of the vines. The tour ends with a tasting of 4 organic wines, accompanied by different types of cheese. You will then transfer to the Casas del Bosque vineyard: A vineyard of character producing wines of superior quality. It has acquired great prestige over the years. In 2010, it was named the best vineyard to visit in Chile. What's more, its restaurant, Tanino, has been chosen as one of the best restaurants in the world. In 2013 and 2014 in London, England, he was chosen by the International Wine & Spirits Competition as "Chilean Wine Producer of the Year". The vineyard currently covers 235 hectares (in one unit), devoted exclusively to the production of cold-weather varieties: Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir and Syrah. The winemaking team responsible for wine production has been led since 2009 by New Zealand winemaker Grant Phelps. Another aspect that makes Casas del Bosque unique is the fact that all the white wines are 100% harvested at night. In this way, low temperatures of between 3ºC and 8ºC are naturally used. This is followed by an extended period of skin contact, between five and nine days, before pressing. You will visit the vineyard, finishing with a tasting of 5 wines accompanied by a special lunch in the Tanino restaurant. The menu at the Tanino restaurant has been devised jointly by the vineyard's chef and oenologist, and offers a perfect combination of local produce and Casas del Bosque wines. Tanino's cuisine is characterised by the use of fresh ingredients, wherever possible from local farmers, and offers dishes that are full of flavour and texture and in perfect harmony with their wines. HD Ahu Akivi / In a group with an English-speaking guide: You will visit the famous Ahu Akivi, the island's most important ceremonial centre, also known as the Celestial Observatory. Comprising seven moais, it is one of the few ceremonial centres located in the interior of the island rather than on the coast. Uniform in design, the seven statues measure 4 metres in height and have a unique feature that can only be seen in this part of the island: they face exactly sunset at the spring equinox and turn their backs to dawn at the autumn equinox. You will then continue your journey towards Uri to Urenga, the four-handed moai, restored by William Mulloy in 1976. Standing on a platform 13 metres long and four metres wide, the moai looks towards where the sun rises during the winter solstice (21 June) and its platform is aligned with two neighbouring hills, Maunga Mataengo and Maunga Traina, as well as two other, closer ahu. For this reason, it is thought to have been an important solar observatory in the Rapa Nui calendar. Your final destination is the Puna Pau quarry, a major source of red volcanic rock that was used to carve moai headdresses. It is thought that this material was used because it was easy to carve and because of its distinctive reddish colour. Finally, we climb to the top of the quarry, from where you can see the small crater of Puna Pau and the splendid views over Hanga Roa and the west coast of the island. HD Orongo / In a group with an English-speaking guide: You will head for the Ahu Vinapu sector, a very important archaeological site on Easter Island. The main attraction is the stone constructions scattered throughout the site, which have taught historians about the main techniques used by the natives to work volcanic rock. Here you will also find the remains of several destroyed Ahus and Moais, which were demolished in the 18th century during internal wars between tribes and clans, causing the destruction of many of the island's figures and statues. You will then continue on to the Rano Kau volcano, whose crater is 1,600 metres wide and contains a 200-metre-deep lake. At the foot of the volcano is the Orongo ceremonial centre with its traditional stone houses and petroglyphs depicting Tangata Manu, the birdman, Make Make, the god who fathered him, and Komari, the symbol of fertility. Orongo is also famous for being the scene of important ancestral celebrations, the story of which you can hear throughout the tour.
